8 hr Confined Space Rescue Refresher – HOT

Course Description

This 8-hour Hands-On Training (HOT) refresher course is designed for firefighters and rescuers who already possess basic confined space rescue knowledge and want to refresh, reinforce, and sharpen their operational rescue skills through realistic hands-on training and repetition-based evolutions.

This course focuses on practical confined space rescue operations, hazard recognition, atmospheric monitoring, lockout/tagout awareness, retrieval systems, patient packaging, ventilation considerations, communication, and rescue problem solving in realistic confined space environments. Students will spend the majority of the day participating in practical drills and scenario-based rescue operations designed to improve operational readiness and team efficiency.

The emphasis of this program is not lengthy classroom lectures, but realistic hands-on training designed to reinforce rescue fundamentals, build confidence, and expose students to practical confined space rescue challenges commonly encountered in industrial, municipal, agricultural, and utility-related environments.

This refresher course is ideal for departments and rescue teams looking to maintain operational competency, reinforce NFPA-based rescue skills, and place personnel back into realistic rescue environments through practical repetition and team-based problem solving.
