Public Safety Diver Skills – Refresher

Course Description

This 8 hour class is structured for the experienced Emergency response dive team and serves as an annual refresher of public safety diver skills and techniques. Course Objectives: Review of ERDi level 1 and 2 skill sets, dive gear setups, policies and procedures as pertained to public safety diving. Student pre-requisites: Public Safety Diver Certification.

Equipment & Training Props

  • Student Equipment / PPE: BCD, Scuba Drysuit, Regulator, Fins, Mask, Redundant Air Source (Doubles or pony) any department specific dive gear the student would like to be trained on. If student wishes to be certified in drysuit Operations, The student needs to supply a operational scuba drysuit for use in the class.
  • Host Agency Equipment / Props: Host agency provides the following: Dive site no deeper than 40 feet with limited visibility, Classroom, Breathing Air Fill Station. Student to provide the following: BCD, Scuba Drysuit, Regulator, Fins, Mask, Redundant Air Source (Doubles or pony) any department specific dive gear the student would like to be trained on. If student wishes to be certified in drysuit Operations, The student needs to supply a operational scuba drysuit for use in the class. Vendor provides the following: Items for underwater recovery – Firearm, Body, Knife. Scuba Full Face Masks and Communications equipment
