Dive Team Supervisor

Course Description

The purpose of the 40 hour ERDI Supervisor course is to qualify an experienced emergency response diver to supervise emergency response diving teams. It also serves as a base to develop leadership qualities and as a prerequisite to ERDI Instructor Training. Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may supervise emergency response
diving operational calls and assist ERDI Instructors as appropriate providing that all training
conform to NFPA 1006, 1561 and 1670 guidelines or for regions not governed by National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), any regulatory or legal requirements that apply to
professional and/or volunteer public safety and emergency response divers. Student pre-requisites: erdi 1&2 + 50 documented PSD dives

Course Objectives

Equipment & Training Props

  • Student Equipment / PPE: BCD, Scuba Drysuit, Regulator, Fins, Mask, Redundant Air Source (Doubles or pony) any department specific dive gear the student would like to be trained on. If student wishes to be certified in drysuit Operations, The student needs to supply a operational scuba drysuit for use in the class.
  • Host Agency Equipment / Props: Host agency provides the following: Dive site no deeper than 40 feet with limited visibility, Classroom, Breathing Air Fill Station. Student to provide the following: BCD, Scuba Drysuit, Regulator, Fins, Mask, Redundant Air Source (Doubles or pony) any department specific dive gear the student would like to be trained on. If student wishes to be certified in drysuit Operations, The student needs to supply a operational scuba drysuit for use in the class. Vendor provides the following: Items for underwater recovery – Firearm, Body, Knife. Scuba Full Face Masks and Communications equipment
